Our mission
is to partner with management to create an environment where we recruit,
retain, and promote competitively skilled African Americans.
We will create
and promote diverse representation at every level in Raytheon through continuous
learning, leadership, networking, mentoring, coaching, teamwork, and community
involvement.
The skills,
knowledge, talent, and value of our diverse workforce will "build a bridge
to the 21st Century and beyond" at Raytheon and in the surrounding communities.

Diversity for
People of Color grew from an idea to start an initiative to address the
needs of people of color within Raytheon TI Systems. This idea came shortly
after the announcement of the sale of TI's defense business. The founding
member was formerly the Co-Chair for the Corporate Services Minority Initiative
(CSMI). This member brought over many of the attributes from CSMI, including
the desire to reach people interested in making a positive difference in
the workplace. Hence the name, Diversity for People of Color-because if
